International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers – Local No. 5 Headquarters
A brownfield redevelopment site on Pittsburgh’s South Side, this urban infill project meshed the proposed pedestrian circulation with the existing pattern, to create a comprehensive urban grid. Klavon provided the site and landscape design for the project. A focal point to the design are outdoor courtyards incorporated into the building for faculty, staff, students and employees providing a unique outdoor space to socialize in. Key design features included tree bosques, massive plant groupings for immediate impact, and a complementary lighting plan to enhance the landscape and building.
