naval support activity annapolis master plan

annapolis, md

Overview

The purpose of this project was to deliver a comprehensive Installation Master Plan for Naval Support Activity (NSA) Annapolis including the Lower Yard, Upper Yard, and North Severn sites. The master plan goal was to consolidate existing plans and studies to create a comprehensive future development plan that prioritizes key capital improvement projects and investments over the next 10 to 25 years.

The master plan is an integrated series of documents which present in graphic, narrative, and tabular form the present composition of the installation and plan for the orderly and comprehensive long-range development, over 25+ years. The master plan includes an evaluation of existing facilities, transportation, circulation, parking, physical conditions and assets, natural and open space features, and utilities that identify the quantity, quality, condition, and overall land use. Based on these existing conditions, the master plan provides recommendations for future development, policies, projects, and investments based on the outcome of the evaluations. The plan addresses short-term needs (0 to 5-year horizon), intermediate needs (5 to 10-year horizon), and long-term needs (10 to 25-year horizon) to be in line with NDW’s Regionally Integrated Master Program (RIMP).
